Remote and Rural Healthcare Support Worker

,This post is an innovative post delivering health and social care to the patients in the Small Isles community. The post will be part of the rural support team, and we are looking for an enthusiastic person who is able to work on their own initiative with limited supervision.
You must be willing to undertake training in a recognised national programme of competency based training for Support Workers, eg SVQ Level 3, to enable them to assist qualified staff within the multidisciplinary team. There may be a requirement to travel off the island to undertake some of the training.
Previous experience of paid or voluntary service in a caring environment would be advantageous, along with an interest in caring for people. Experience of dealing with vulnerable adults, especially older adults in a caring capacity would be desirable.
You should be IT literate, have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook, and be educated to Standard Grade or equivalent. IT qualification is desirable.
You should also have good organisational and time management skills, be able to organise your time effectively and have excellent communication skills.
Knowledge of Health & Safety is advantageous. Clean Driving Licence required.
